“Aaron Agency - for nannies, caregivers and nanny services” is a Business

based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. We are a Domestic Employment

Agency / Referral Service whose focus is on childcare, personal care, home

care, housekeeping, etc. We offer our services to Canada, United States

and most other countries of the world. We are a private for profit business,

not to be confused with any government branch or agency.

The families or persons who seek to hire a caregiver pay us a non refundable

application fee and placement fee. Job applicants pay us no application or

registration fee unless they reside outside the United States and Canada. Those

applicants must pay a one time non refundable listing fee of $25.00 (US $).

Sorry, we do not grant credit privileges nor accept credit cards. Payment

should be made by certified cheque, bank draft, money order or cash.

When you initially apply for our caregiver referral services, you pay a non

refundable application fee of $250.00. If you hire a caregiver whom we have

referred, you would then pay a separate, non refundable placement fee of

$250.00, which is due within 10 days of our referred candidate commencing

employment with you. Canadian residents pay Canadian $ and others in US $.

Locally, the fees of our competitors range from $700.00 to $900.00. Our

fees are guaranteed to be lower than all the above competitors - bar none!

Yes. If we refer a caregiver whom you hire, we provide a

contractual replacement guarantee. During the initial 3 months of

employment, should the caregiver be deemed unsuitable or for any

reason resign, we will re open your file and restart the process at

no additional cost to you. This guarantee is unconditional.

Only one other. We provide the following guarantee to repeat customers.

With respect to our fees, you the repeat client shall never pay more than

fifty per cent of our usual application or placement fee. This special discount

is applicable to second, third or fourth time clients. This is our way to say

thank you for your loyal patronage. We are not aware of any other similar

Agency in the World that offers this type of incentive to it’s clientele.

As an Employment Agency, we cannot set a salary for the caregiver you

hire. On the other hand, we can recommend a salary range. For example,

the average gross weekly salary for a nanny in Canada or the United States

is $300.00 to $500.00, depending upon work related factors. Do not pay your

caregiver a salary which is lower than the minimum wage laws. Please treat

your caregiver as an employee, who should receive the usual benefits.

We accept job applications worldwide. Some usual examples are Canada,

United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, the Philippines, Singapore,

African countries, Germany, France, Latin American countries, etc. We

welcome resumes, CV’s, letters of reference, etc. worldwide. Non local

job applicants usually provide us with a recent photo for identification and

We prefer applicants who have on hands experience, practical

training or both. The applicant must provide us with the names, area codes

and phone numbers of their job related references. Job applicants must

No. The acquisition of work visas is a joint venture between the employer

(the hiring family) and the employee (the caregiver you wish to hire).

Yes. You can view it or print it out from our Website or we can fax, mail or

email it to you. Our Contract is simple and non-legalese.

Yes. Our General Service is available here (assignments are sourced out

on a commission basis) such as childcare, homecare, housekeeping, etc.

The hourly rate (varies) for General Service is about $10.00. There is a 4

hour, minimum booking required. Please contact us for a more accurate

quote. The modes of payment are cash, certified check or money order.

Yes. This service is available for both short and long term care.

Normally, you would drop off and pick up your child(ren). A caregivers

home usually accepts from one to six children. These private homes are

not daycare centres. We will pre inspect the caregivers home for safety,

cleanliness, etc. Receipts will be received directly from the caregiver.

Your childcare expenses can be claimed by the parent(s) on their Income

Tax Return, as can our Agency’s application and placement fees.

Yes. We have a 4 hour minimum booking. The hourly rates may vary

depending on your needs. Extra transportation charges may apply. New

Years Eve bookings must be made 3 days prior. A pre-payment may be

required, if you are a “first-time” clent. Gift certificates are always available.

The above info applies to babysitting, patient sitting, house or pet sitting.
